Make those local adventures fun and dynamic for your toddler, with the innovative and multi award winning freerider™.

With THREE incredible patents, freerider™ is an ingenious idea - a simple concept that offers dual functionality, transforming from a buggy board to a free-wheeling scooter, allowing your toddler to ride close or ride free in seconds. And when you’re done, you can simply stow freerider™ up the back of the buggy, out of the way to continue on your daily adventure.

There are so many ways in which your child can develop and grow by using freerider™:

  1. Confidence when riding independently in scooter mode;
  2. The 3-wheels enable your child to get comfortable on a scooter, before they graduate to 2-wheels;
  3. The truck steering of freerider™ allows the child to use their body to support with turning on the scooter, which mimics the movement when using a skate, surf or snow board.

        freerider™ is compatible with the following brands and models:

          • Mountain Buggy®:
            • nano™, MB mini, swift™, urban jungle™, +one™, terrain™, cosmopolitan™, nano duo™ and duet™
          • phil&teds®:

          Great scooter on it's own

          I bought the freerider for my 3 year old when I purchased the Mountain Buggy Duet for my newborn twins as I knew I would need a buggy board and thought this would be a great alternative as it fixed to the buggy. The scooter on it's own is absolutely fantastic, it's smooth along the roads and it is really sturdy. It is however quite a heavy scooter and when attached to the back of the Duet with a child standing on it, it makes the buggy incredibly heavy. The position of the scooter fixing also leaves you in an awkward position to push the buggy as the board gets in the way, I have to walk to the left or right of the board, otherwise if I walk behind the scooter board I can't push/reach the buggy well. I have also found that when my babies are in the lie flat position in the duet which they are alot, you can't fold up the scooter with the elastic band as you can't bring it up behind the seats when lying flat. This has been challenging and whilst a fab scooter individually, the design flaws connecting to the buggy for the price are disappointing.

          Thanks for your feedback Phoebe :)

          We're happy to hear overall you enjoyed your experience with freerider™, and we take on board your feedback on some design thoughts. We do acknowledge that there would need to be some compromise to the parent pushing the buggy when freerider™ is attached due to its design shape to operate on its own as a scooter. We can also imagine that pushing a double buggy plus a 3rd child in tow would make things feel a lot different if it was just the children in the buggy, but we like to think overall, that's a compromise one can make knowing that their toddler will always stay close and safe!

          We do have tips and tricks on the instructional video to help with more ease for our customers, but this is always something we can improve upon. We're always continuously working to improve our brand experience with our amazing customers & absolutely appreciate the constructive feedback of where we can improve - we take your review and experience on board.

          Thanks again

          For kids on the move

          We love the free rider.
          It's a sturdy and fast scooter for kids to cruise on but with the convenience of being able to attach to the pram for tired legs or easy transport.
          I love that I can easily take it to kinder pickup when we drive for dropoff but I walk to pickup. Jake loves to go to the skate park and ride down the ramps too.
          It also works really well as a pram board when his legs are tired and he needs a ride. It's so easy to attach and it doesn't get in the way.

          Such a fantastic product from Mountain Buggy!

          Hi Soph, thanks for your review! It's awesome to hear how much you are loving your freerider and all the different riding options it offers. MBx

          Perfect for toddler's. Sturdy and good quality. New favourite activity either using solo or attached to the pram. My 3 year old daughter was able to ride scooter independently with no prior experience.
